L'Oréal wanted social-first content across two of its brands: Age Perfect, with a positive, empowering narrative on ageing, and Matrix, a practical demonstration putting the product range, and its hero oil, front and centre. Both needed to show the products in genuine use while feeling authentic to their audiences.
-
Age Perfect — "Age doesn't define me.” We cast Marianne Jones, multi-award-winning Features Director at YOU Magazine, and filmed her at home as she shares how she's embraced ageing and is thriving. The film intercuts candid interview with her real daily routine, opening on serum and day cream at the mirror as a voiceover speaks positively about age, moving through shots of her at work in her home office, and closing on the night cream and the three products lined up on her bathroom counter. The takeaway: the secret isn't her age, it's L'Oréal Age Perfect.
Matrix — "How to.” A social-first how-to hosted by a Matrix ambassador, demonstrating the full product range with a focus on the oil. Shot at the L'Oréal Academy with a real person as the model, the ambassador works through the key steps on the model's hair to camera, landing on a before-and-after reveal and clear calls to action.
